6 of the cottages are run on a “Management “ basis which means that St Brides Bay Cottages are contracted to provide a more comprehensive package than to act as letting agent alone. The company offers, not only the conventional advertising and promotional element of attracting potential guests to the cottages, but also arranges payments and are also responsible for the cleaning and general maintenance of the properties. This includes changing the bed linen and arranging for it to be washed with a local laundrette on a weekly basis.

The remaining 26 cottages are run only on a letting basis and therefore St Brides Bay Cottages only act as a means of sourcing guests to the cottages and do not get involved with the maintenance nor cleaning. St Brides Cottages visits these properties at least twice a year although they are maintained directly by their owners.
All cottages operate on a self-catering basis which are let in weekly slots, ranging from 2 berth properties to 15th Century farmhouses sleeping 11 people.

The company which runs on a 52 week per year basis; operates from an office within the family home in Nine Wells near Solva.
All cottages have electric supplies and some also have oil and gas supplies.

The key environments impacts arise from office stationery usage, electric demand for appliances and lighting, heating oil for hot water and heating. Water is usage is essentially domestically and discharged to onsite soakaway.
